While extensions typically last from two to six months, the lifespan will depend on a number of factors. Clip real wigs also last a long time but it could also be dependent on how frequent you apply shampoo and conditioner to your hair as well as how fast your hair grows. Most salons will tell you, however, that you don’t leave on the extension for more than three months as it might cause irreparable damage to your natural hair.  

Depends on technique One of these factors is whether or not your hair extensions are sewn in which are more durable compared to the glue bond. When you braid them in, they are going to last probably around two months or so before you visit the salon once again for another session. When you glue them to your scalp, it will last around two weeks. Also, another disadvantage of glue is that you have to have them removed with a special remover.
